The Graduate Development Scheme (GDS) is a comprehensive two-year programme which offers graduates, across a range of disciplines, the opportunity to enter the workforce and obtain on-the job training and mentorship in a world-class mining operation.
OTML offers graduates a challenging yet rewarding environment to kick-start their career. OTML is the largest single employer in the Western Province with PNG nationals making up 98% of the workforce. Key Criteria
To be considered for the 2024 GDS, you must:
- To be considered for the 2025 GDS, you must:
- Be a PNG citizen
- Be a final-year undergraduate in 2024, studying at a PNG or overseas university
- Have a minimum GPA of 3.5 or a Cumulative Weighted Average of 75% or above in your last three semesters
- Demonstrate strong leadership potential and the following qualities:
- Outstanding safety and health practices
- Leadership experience or potential
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Confidence and decision-making ability
- Teamwork, flexibility, and adaptability
- Problem analysis and solving skills
- Consistent academic excellence
- Effective planning and organizational skills
