Simbu Tertiary Selections Report : 566 Students selected for Tertiary Education in 2024

 In an inspiring milestone for education in Simbu Province, a total of 566 students from various secondary schools have been chosen to pursue higher education in tertiary institutions for the upcoming 2024 academic year. This selection marks a significant leap forward for the province, highlighting the dedication and academic prowess of its students.

Among these selections:

221 students have secured placements in universities across Papua New Guinea, signifying their potential for advanced learning and academic achievement.

107 students have been chosen for Technical Colleges, indicating a focus on specialized vocational training and skill development.

60 students have been accepted into Teachers Colleges, demonstrating the commitment to nurturing future educators and contributing to the educational landscape.

Additionally, students have been selected for programs in Nursing colleges, Business colleges, and Agriculture colleges, further diversifying the educational paths undertaken by Simbu's youth.

Kerowagi Secondary School emerged as the leading institution, with a remarkable number (141) of students  securing placements in tertiary institutions, solidifying its reputation for academic excellence and commitment to nurturing bright minds.

The Department of Higher Education, Research, Science, and Technology (DHERST) provided a summary table showcasing the distribution of students from Simbu Province Secondary schools to various Tertiary Institutions, emphasizing the diverse educational opportunities available for the province's youth.
