TWENTY-FOUR Police reservists have successfully graduated from the rigorous training program at the Bomana National School of Excellence (formerly Police College), marking a significant milestone in their journey to serve the force and the nation.
Undergoing six months of intensive basic training and coursework, these graduates have demonstrated their commitment to upholding law and order in Papua New Guinea.
Among the distinguished graduates are notable figures such as the Secretary of Community Development and Religion, Jerry Ubase, alongside 17 other dedicated employees of the department. Additionally, five employees hail from the Office of Censorship, with one representing the Department of Justice and Attorney General.
During the graduation ceremony, the graduates were reminded of the paramount importance of serving with integrity, honesty, and discipline, as they embark on their respective roles within their departments and the police force.
A meticulously orchestrated parade marked the culmination of their training journey, held at the Correctional Services facility within the Bomana Correctional Service Institute. The event was attended by proud family members, esteemed colleagues, departmental heads, and Assistant Police Commissioner for Crimes, Hodges Ette, who graced the occasion on behalf of Commissioner of Police David Manning.
This graduating class stands poised to make invaluable contributions to the safety and security of the community, embodying the principles of excellence instilled at the Bomana National School of Excellence.
