The Department of Education (DoE) has officially released the PNG School Examinations League Table for 2023, providing a comprehensive grading of schools based on their performance in the Grade 10 national examinations. This marks the second year of the league table initiative since its introduction in 2022.
The 2023 league table categorizes schools into five performance grades: A (excellent), B (very good), C (good), D (satisfactory), and E (not satisfactory). The grading aims to provide a transparent overview of schools’ academic achievements, offering valuable insights for stakeholders and encouraging improvements across the education system.
The Mean Rating Index (MRI) is also provided, calculated by dividing the total number of A, B, and C grades by the Grade 10 student population of the school who took the exams.
For 2024, school ratings will be released in March 2025.
Below are the ratings for schools across the country based on the Examination Results in 2023.
