The Papua New Guinea Education Department has announced the release of the Grade 11 selection list for the 2025 academic year, covering system schools and National Schools of Excellence. According to PNG Secretary for Education Dr. Uke Kombra, the list is now available online, providing a convenient and transparent platform for students and parents to access the results. The selection process was based on students' performance in the 2024 Grade 10 national examinations, ensuring that the process remained merit-based and fair. Students can access the list on the department’s website, which includes instructions for searching names and allocated schools.
Dr. Kombra encouraged selected students to prepare for the transition to Grade 11 and reminded them to adhere to school reporting schedules. For those who were not selected, he highlighted the availability of alternative pathways, such as technical and vocational education training (TVET) programs, to continue their educational journey. He further reassured the public of the department’s commitment to equity and accessibility in education, emphasizing that academic excellence is key to Papua New Guinea's development.
