In a significant achievement for Southern Highlands Province, 289 students from various secondary schools have been successfully chosen for tertiary education in the upcoming 2024 academic year.
Breaking down the allocations, 110 students have earned placements in universities across Papua New Guinea, while 53 students have secured spots in Technical Colleges. Additionally, 30 students will further their education in Teachers Colleges, 12 in Nursing Colleges, and 77 in Business Colleges. Moreover, 7 students have been selected for enrollment in Agriculture College.
Notably, Mendi Secondary School emerges as the leading institution with the highest number of students selected, boasting 117 successful candidates from its ranks.
