Schools throughout Papua New Guinea have resumed classes as of this morning, (Monday 30th of January 2023).
According to NBC News, few schools in the Nation’s Capital and has confirmed their resumption.
Most schools have started today with student registrations.
Schools in the lower education system including Elementary, primary, secondary, and national high schools throughout the country are expected to go into full swing of proper classes this week.

NBC National News interviewed the School principle of Gordons Secondary who confirmed the resumption of their classes.
Principal of Coronation Primary, Vavine Iruna Kiniravu says there was a fair attendance of students.
However, she says today will be students' registration into classes.
With the influx of students coming in, schools have also raised concerns about the ratio of teachers to students.
Mrs Kiniravu says student enrolment will be controlled to meet the required ratio of teacher to student in the class.
