In an impressive display of academic achievement, students from Morobe Province have secured a significant number of placements in various tertiary institutions across Papua New Guinea. According to the DHERST 2025 Tertiary Selection list, a total of 1,083 students from the province have been selected for further studies.

Top Performing Schools:
- Lae Secondary School: Leading the pack, Lae Secondary School has seen 235 of its students selected, with notable numbers in Agriculture College (81), Technical College (93), and Teachers College (51).
- Busu Secondary School: Following closely, Busu Secondary School has 200 students selected, excelling particularly in Technical College (91) and Teachers College (37).
- Wawin National School of Excellence: This institution has 157 students moving on to tertiary education, with strong showings in Technical College (89) and Teachers College (27).
Non-School Leavers: A noteworthy 172 non-school leavers have also secured placements, with significant numbers in Business College (58), Technical College (53), and Teachers College (15).
Other schools contributing to this success include Bugandi Secondary (79 students), Menyamya Secondary School (34 students), and Bumayong Lutheran Secondary School (48 students).
