Dr. Kombra said marking arrangements have been carefully planned to ensure fairness and consistency. Grade 10 papers in the National Capital District will be marked immediately after the first exam before being sent to provinces, Grade 12 scripts will be assessed in Port Moresby from October 19 to November 1, and Grade 8 papers will be marked in the provinces. He also noted that the department is coordinating with provincial governments and security forces to prevent any disruptions during the exams. Schools and students were warned against malpractice, with penalties including non-certification for students, termination of teachers, or suspension of schools for up to three years. “Cheating has been eliminated, and exam results now reflect students’ effort, providing reliable benchmarks for education,” Dr. Kombra said, wishing students success in the upcoming exams.
